Crowns

Crowns, also known as Caps, are natural looking teeth that fit securely over your existing teeth in order to restore cracks, chips, large areas of decay, injuries, or discoloration. Crowns are virtually undetectable and provide the aesthetic look of a healthy tooth, while providing the additional support and protection that a damaged tooth needs.

Our office uses only the highest quality crowns, and offers all gold, porcelain fused to gold, and porcera zirconia crowns which have the strength of an all-metal crown, while offering the aesthetic look of a natural tooth.

Porcelain Veneers

Are your teeth stained, chipped, misaligned or crooked? If so, porcelain veneers may be just what you need to give you the healthy smile that you have always wanted. Made of porcelain, these thin wafers fit securely over your natural teeth are and virtually undetectable. They are stain-resistant and durable, and can be color matched to your existing teeth or lightened to brighten up a dull smile.

Dental Implants

Are you missing a tooth or several teeth? Are you tired of dentures or bridges that look unnatural? If so, dental implants may be a great alternative for you. Surgically placed into your jawbone, dental implants are artificial roots made of titanium that act just like the natural roots of your teeth. These roots are held securely in place by your bone and gum tissue. Capped by an aesthetic crown, these artificial teeth offer a stronger, more natural looking alternative to bridges or dentures.

Working closely with the oral surgeon or periodontist who will place your new root Dr. McCargar will ensure the effectiveness of your treatment by placing a high quality crown on your new implant.

Teeth Whitening

Whitening your teeth can be one of the easiest things that you can do to improve the quality of your smile. Our office offers the most reliable teeth whitening products on the market today. Using the Opalescence Boost in-office tooth whitening system, a hydrogen peroxide based self-activating gel is applied to your teeth over four 15-minute sessions during one convenient appointment. This is then followed by a brief fluoride treatment. In just a single visit, you can improve the brightness of your smile by up to 10 shades! And, with touchups and routine care, the effects of the Opalescence Boost whitening system can last indefinitely.

In addition to in-office teeth whitening, our office also offers the Opalescence take-home whitening system. This system allows you to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. Dr. McCargar will take an impression of your teeth and then create customized trays to accompany your take-home bleaching kit. Made of plastic, these trays fit snugly over your teeth, protecting your gums and tongue from the bleach, while focusing the powerful whitening gel to create a pearly white smile.

Invisalign

To help you achieve that beautiful smile that you have always wanted, our office now offers Invisalign, the most effective way to straighten teeth without unsightly bands, wires or brackets that can irritate your mouth.

Invisalign uses a series of invisible aligners to gently move your teeth to achieve that perfect smile. Using 3-D computer technology, Dr. McCargar will create a plan to straighten your teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners. As your teeth begin to move, you will continue to contour your smile by changing your aligners approximately every two weeks. As part of your treatment, you will be required to visit Dr. McCargar every month to check your progression and to receive new aligners. The average treatment time with Invisalign is approximately 12 months, and throughout treatment you will be able to easily remove the aligners so that you can eat your favorite foods while continuing to brush and floss normally for optimal oral health.
